About Me and my ExperienceAbout Me
I started my career in law enforcement, responding to crises and seeing firsthand where systems fail people. I quickly realized that real change happens long before an emergency—that prevention, support, and community investment matter just as much as response. That’s what led me to the nonprofit sector. While earning my degree in Human Services Leadership, I saw the power of nonprofits to step in where other sectors fall short, and I’ve been all in ever since.
Since then, I’ve been an executive director, a board member, a volunteer, and a community advocate. I’ve spent my career supporting the people who make nonprofits run—the leaders, the board members, and the changemakers tackling the challenges that other sectors aren’t designed to fix. I know how isolating leadership can be. Asking for help isn’t always easy, but the truth is, you shouldn’t have to do this work alone. That’s why I created Solutions for Changemakers—to provide the support, strategy, and guidance that leaders like you deserve.
When I’m not working with changemakers, you’ll find me and my husband running NEW Pride, an LGBTQ+ organization dedicated to belonging and community in Northeast Wisconsin. We’re passionate about building inclusive spaces where everyone feels valued. I also serve on multiple nonprofit boards, lend my time as a volunteer, and am currently finishing my Master of Public Administration with a focus on nonprofit management and leadership.
And when I step away from work? You’ll probably find us out enjoying Wisconsin’s great outdoors with our dog, Baylor, or in the kitchen cooking—usually with our cats, Basil and Chive, supervising.
So, if you’re looking for a thought partner who gets the complexities of nonprofit leadership but keeps things approachable, I’d love to connect. Let’s navigate the challenges together and make a lasting impact—without burning out in the process.
